On November 22, those of us in the United States celebrate
Thanksgiving. (If you are outside of the U.S. and unfamiliar with the
holiday, here’s an overview by Wikipedia.)
Since my children were little, one of the traditions our family has
had at Thanksgiving dinner is to go around the dining room table sharing
what we are thankful for that year. Our thoughts have ranged from
soul-wrenching (the year my father passed his 5-year anniversary of
being cancer free) to humorous (when my son was 6 and thankful he did
not get food poisoning from my cooking!). We’ve continued this tradition
every year of the 26 years my husband and I have been married and I
hope this is something that becomes a part of my children’s lives as
they start their own families.
Today, I’d like to expand that tradition and share with you a few things for which I give thanks…
I’m thankful that I live in the age of technology. Because of
technology – and more importantly, the Internet, I was able to leave my
14-hour days as a corporate VP and start several businesses from home.
All of you hold a great opportunity in your hands, which simply didn’t
exist in prior generations. We should all be thankful for living in such
exciting times! (Now, if I could just figure how to check voice mail on
my cell phone!)
I’d like to thank the entire Implix family for allowing me to act as
their “voice” on this blog. You haven’t been behind the scenes, but I
can tell you that this organization is filled with an international
group of dynamic, caring individuals who are constantly striving to
bring you the best in service and cutting-edge products. They are
concerned about you and are constantly striving for ways to serve you
better.
By the way, if you’re not familiar with Simon Grabowski, CEO of
Implix, and his background, let me know and I’ll see if I can twist his
arm to share it with you! There are a lot of marketing lessons to be
learned from his story. Even though he works 30-hour days (or so it
seems to me!), he has never been too busy to discuss ideas or
suggestions with me.
And, I’m sure I speak for the entire Implix team, when I say that we
are all thankful for you, our customers. We appreciate that you put your
trust in us by using our services to help your business grow. Please
don’t be shy about communicating your ideas, questions, or suggestions
for improvements by either emailing us or commenting below.
Our commitment is to continue to provide cutting-edge products and
services to you…our client. Not just on Thanksgiving, but every day of
the year!
The best is yet to come! And I’m honored to be on this journey with you…
